Literati’s Challenge

Literati had an in-house system to manage the configuration, picking and assembly of their book fairs for their first season in operation which they felt was not fit for the size of the business and their growth aspirations. They also needed a system to manage their inventory, warehouse, sales order processing, vendors and purchasing. Integrated shipping from their sales orders needed to be added into their process, as well as to using scanners to streamline warehouse management such as goods receipt, and book fair picking and book fair assembly.

AscentERP Implementation

The expert implementation team at Coacto installed, customised and integrated the AscentERP application into Literati’s existing Salesforce system, connecting to their existing business applications using Google Pub Sub architecture.  This include the following features:

  • Inventory Management: Product management, stock movements, pick location replenishment, cycle counts (stock take), adjustments, bill of materials
  • Warehouse ManagementMultiple physical warehouses, over 50,000 locations including bulk, velocity, pick, VNA, book fair, cart, carton etc
  • Purchasing: Vendor management, purchase orders, receipts, cost and price management, purchase price variance and quantity variance, blind receiving, vendor invoices
  • Book Fair Management: Product and Bill of Materials (BOM) configuration, Book Fair picking and shipping, sales order processing, book fair stock replenishment, book fair returns (RMA)
  • Order Management: Sales order processing, picking, packing and integrated carrier (UPS) shipping
  • Mobile App: Honeywell CK65 handheld scanners. Product and location stock checking, book fair picking and assembly and quality assurance, guided item put away and pick location checking and replenishment.
  • Scanning, label generation and printing
