Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group: User enhancements with Marketing Cloud

On Thursday 1st December, Coacto alongside ProvenWorks were delighted to sponsor the Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group in person at The Workplace in Cheltenham. The final event of 2022 was a great success with many members joining in person and online to hear from Sam Walley, Melissa Hill Dees and ProvenWorks.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing some of the key points taken from each speaker’s session. The series begins with Sam Walley and his engaging session detailing the impact Marketing Cloud can have on user experience below:

Sam is a technical lead at Stimulus Consulting, a Salesforce consultancy located in Swindon. Having been in the Salesforce ecosystem for over 10 years, Sam has a wealth of experience and has had various stints at other events including Europe’s largest Salesforce event, London’s Calling!

Positive user experiences with Marketing Cloud

Presenting in person to our members, Sam provided a wonderful introduction into the world of Salesforce Marketing Cloud with some useful examples.

Marketing Cloud is a one to one digital marketing solution delivered by Salesforce, the world’s number one CRM platform. It’s a powerful tool that provides businesses with the tools they need to develop and manage effective marketing campaigns. 

Salesforce Marketing Cloud offers a full suite of possibilities for increased engagements including:

  • Email Studio: Create and send email campaigns with managed data.
  • Mobile Studio: Create and SMS campaigns and push messaging.
  • Social Studio: Publish, analyse, listen and engage with audiences.
  • Web Studio: Create microsites and Cloud pages.
  • Advertising Studio: Manage and optimise 
  • Plus much more!

Consumer journey demo

During the session, Sam took us on a journey of a consumer who has engaged with a fictional brand, Edelen Hart through social media. The example included how this particular brand could use advertising and personalisation to encourage consumers to purchase a certain product.

The demo also included tips on how to set up an abandon cart campaign through Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder.

The session focussed on every touch point and how the Salesforce Marketing Cloud can be used to fully maximise the effectiveness of the experience and get customers buying products!
