Chatting with the Cotswolds Community

Chatting with the Cotswolds Community

Last week (Thursday 26th November 2020) we hosted our final Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group event for 2020. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces join our Community to network with the local Ohana on none other than Thanksgiving Day.

Content Recap

Attendees tuned in for what’s been our largest (virtual) group yet and were able to relish the excellent content available kicking off with Saurabh Gupta from PlumCLoud Labs. Saurabh treated us to some critical knowledge on CCPA, GDPR and how to effectively utilise the tools available to avoid any fines or lawsuits – This turned out to be a really practical and popular presentation with some great followup questions.

Next up we welcomed Evan Ponter from Ponter Solutions. Evan provided an excellent presentation that was uber professional and equally as engaging. It provided hugely powerful tips on how to leverage standard reporting to have one super charged deluxe custom report type per object which can be used to dramatically increase the power of your reporting to address the majority of reporting requests.

James Beezley from SkySail Solutions completed the event with a valuable addition of a detailed demonstration on screen explaining a no-code way to allow users to easily select a record from a long lookup list, rather than have to search through a many options in a list often without any context.

We are going to be sharing all of the valuable content from the November Community Group into the Trailblazer Chatter Group over the next few weeks; so be sure to get involved in the conversation.

Quirky Quiz

A Community Group (in 2020 especially) wouldn’t be the same without a fun Trivia Quiz so we did our best to come up with some difficult Salesforce questions. It’s safe to say that we caught a few of you out with our barmy trivia!

Although some of the questions were out there, the competition was tight and the line up was close between the participants but as it’s the season of giving, we agreed to provide the top three on the podium with a prize each. Drum roll please… congratulations to David Cooke, James Beezley and Jeremy Yearnon! We’ll get your super cool London’s Calling T-Shirts out to you soon.

See you in February!

We hope that you enjoyed our November meeting as much as we did hosting it and we hope to see you all again on Thursday 25th February 2021 – Registration is open to attend but be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates soon!

Don’t forget to join our Chatter Group and forward details of our next event to colleagues who may be interested in attending – The more the merrier.

Happy Holidays!
