Apprentice Hoots: Invitation to a Panel Discussion!

We were absolutely delighted when our very own Salesforce Apprentice was approached by LDN Apprenticeships to take part in an Apprenticeship Panel as part of the Movement to Work programme. Read our latest Apprentice Hoots blog to discover more:

An opportunity to attend my first panel discussion

I was really excited when Simon Bozzoli, CEO & Founder of LDN Apprenticeships, got in touch with me following our Community Group to ask if I would be interested in speaking at an event. Simon had been in touch with Salesforce and the Movement to Work programme and was tasked with finding a couple of apprentices who would be willing to speak with a group of young people who are completing work experience.

Movement to Work is an initiative that supports organisations in providing quality vocational employment and work placement opportunities and helps to drive both business performance and bring about lasting social change. This is something that I am passionate about and I was thrilled when Simon asked if I’d be willing to sit on the Apprenticeship Panel to share my journey so far with young people looking to enter the workforce.

As part of my involvement in the webinar on Thursday 30th September 2021, I have been made aware that the candidates would like to learn about the experiences apprentices have had whilst on our Salesforce apprenticeship programmes. Although I am not under any pressure to prepare any content, it’s been a great reflective task for me to pull some detailed information together.

With this in mind, I am currently working to develop the following content hinted at by the Salesforce Movement to Work team to ensure that I can provide as much of my knowledge and learning as possible:

  • Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship? Did anyone help you make this decision?
  • Have you faced any setbacks during your career/apprenticeship? How did you overcome them?
  • Do you have any personal stories that might inspire/motivate the participants?
  • If you could give your 18-year-old self, one piece of advice, what would that be and why?

I am really excited to be a part of the Apprenticeship Panel on Thursday 30th September and I look forward to sharing the content that I’m creating with you in my Apprentice Hoots blog next week – Keep your eyes peeled!

Owl see you later…
