Apprentice Hoots: Introducing Charlotte

Apprentice Hoots: Introducing Charlotte

Earlier this year, we were absolutely delighted to welcome Charlotte onto our team as a Salesforce Apprentice. What’s more is she’ll be documenting her Salesforce experiences and knowledge along the way with these chatty Apprentice Hoots blogs.

Let’s find out more about Charlotte and her journey so far…

What’s your story?

I began my career in the beauty industry as a Beauty Sales Consultant and performed consultations and treatments for clients while on a cruise ship. Once I completed my contract with the Carnival Cruises, I decided that I was ready for a new challenge. Therefore I looked into options as to how I could adapt my current sales and consulting skills to be suited to the forever changing and challenging business and information technology industries. To help make this a reality and having to navigate new opportunities in a pandemic, I began an online OU Business A-Level Course as well as this, I also made it a priority to search and apply for apprenticeships where I could learn and earn with a guaranteed job opportunity at the end – this is when I re-discovered Salesfroce. I discovered Salesforce at an early age from a family friend and loved the characters and engaging content. As a young adult looking for a new opportunity in the technology industry, I wanted to learn more about the services that Salesforce could provide and build my knowledge on business consulting. I then took the initiative to register on Trailhead and began my search for a Salesforce Apprenticeship with LDN Apprenticeships – and the rest is history!

What apprenticeship are you completing?

I am completing my learning and accreditations with LDN Apprenticeships. Over the next 18 months, I am excited to complete the Level 4 Salesforce Consultant Apprenticeship where I will achieve the Level 4 IS Business Analyst and Salesforce Certified Administrator credential.

What do you enjoy most about the Salesforce ecosystem so far?

Having recently started my Salesforce career journey, there are many things that I am enjoying. From an all-round perspective, I am thoroughly enjoying the personal growth journey and have already received positive feedback on my progress. If I were to be specific and focus on the Salesforce platform, then I would most certainly say that I enjoy the Leads to Opportunity process – I feel that being able to see the progress of a certain prospect is exciting!

If you could be a Salesforce character, which would you be?

If I were to be a Salesforce Character, I would definitely be Hootie! Salesforce has a whole host of fun, lovable characters each with their own meanings and functions, however I feel as though I relate to Hootie, because he represents knowledge, skills and credentials. As an apprentice, these core elements are something that I am looking to develop over the next 18 months and beyond.

What can we expect from your Apprentice Hoots?

Together with my team, we thought it would be a great idea to document my apprenticeship and Salesforce journey – not only for me to reflect on but also for anyone who is thinking about starting their own career in this industry. What you can expect from Apprentice Hoots really can go from one subject to another as I explore further into the ecosystem. Next week however you can expect a ‘Week in the Life’ style blog explaining what tasks and projects I have been up to.

Owl see you later…

Charlotte
