Salesforce Spring ‘21 Release: Top 3 Features

Salesforce Spring ‘21 Release: Top 3 Features

After experiencing one of the most unusual years, it initially seems that 2021 doesn’t have plans too different from it’s 2020 counterpart – but one thing is for sure and that’s Salesforce new releases! We always look forward to the seasonal launches of new innovations which never cease to provide the community with lots of new features to make their systems more efficient.

The Spring ‘21 Release date often depends on which instance of Salesforce your business has implemented, but the main dates for the updates are 16th January and 6th, 12th & 13th February. There’s a whole heap of new features including helpful productivity functions and improved UI that we couldn’t possibly list them all, but here’s our top three favourite innovations for Spring ‘21:

  1. Einstein AI

Salesforce recently announced that Einstein Analytics delivers around 80+ Billion predictions every day, making it much more of an essential tool rather than a nice-to-have addition across the platform. With the latest release, Salesforce has developed its global scoring models meaning that smaller and even new customers can get up and running with opportunity scoring quicker and more efficiently. Even better is that many of the features are now free.

2. Lightning Page Performance

In the previous Winter ‘21 Release, Salesforce provided the Lightning Page Performance feature. Although this update allowed for access to some high level details on page loading back in Winter ‘21, the Spring ‘21 Release is expected to have better analysis features including predicted load times as well as a performance breakdown.

3. Relationships to opportunity products

It was just a bright idea posted on the IdeaExchange a few years back and (finally!) in 2021, this functionality is now available. Relationships will now be able to be directly created to the opportunity product object. This new function will allow lookup fields to target opportunity products and significantly expand the possibilities for creating dynamic quotes and work orders.

If your organisation uses Salesforce, you may have already noticed some of these features within your platform but often, some require additional configuration to enable the functions fully. Our registered Salesforce partner team is available to provide as much or as little support that you may need. Contact us on 033 0233 0229 or get in touch on LinkedIn.
