Salesforce recognised as world’s leading Enterprise Apps Vendor

Earlier this month it was announced that Salesforce, the worlds’ number one CRM platform has overtaken long-standing Enterprise Apps Vendor and previous leader, SAP. A leader in business software and technology, SAP is considered one of the world’s biggest producers of enterprise applications.

Based on results from the second financial quarter, Salesforce ascended to the position of world leading Enterprise Apps Vendor in the marketplace and overtook SAP with their continued competitive revenue intake. Salsforce stood tall by commanding $7.72 billion, topping SAP’s $7.52 billion. 

This achievement has seen Salesforce continue its historic run of 73 consecutive quarters with increased revenue. The acquisition of Slack delivered an additional $1.48 billion in revenue representing a huge 53% increase, year-over-year.

Salesforce has grown significantly from providing CRM tools to offering a variety of business solutions through their effective sales, marketing and commerce clouds. It’s also important to recognise that Salesforce is an affordable solution for businesses and can even support successful enterprise resource planning and management integrations.
