Cotswolds Salesforce Community: Meeting in person
A week has passed since we hosted the Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group…and in person too! Taking a hybrid form, the event on Thursday 19th May 2022 was available to join physically at GLfifty in Cheltenham and online through Google Meet. The evening was a success with a raft of knowledgeable speakers, the Salesforce trivia quiz and the chance to have a good old natter over a beer and slice of pizza.
Tips every Salesforce admin needs with Christine Marshall
We felt extremely honoured to be joined by SalesforceBen evangelist, Christine Marshall – and in the flesh too! With Salesforce set to roll out some incredible features and enhancements as part of their Summer ’22 Release it was great to listen to Christine’s top five tips. The sessions showed users how to make the most of new fun features, how to enhance productivity, increase adoption and overall ROI. We reckon it got members thinking about their admin a-game for sure!
Developers are from Mars, Admins are from Venus with Buyan Thyagarajan
Taking the time to join us virtually from Delaware in the U.S, Buyan delivered a super fun session on helping Admins and Business Analysts write stories and requirements effectively. Touching bases on custom development and flow needs, Buyan covered the important steps for implementation with relatable memes and also shared an interesting five part framework to validate stories before collaborating with developers and admins.
The data playbook with Rangan Goldsmith
It was excellent to have been joined by Rangan Goldsmith, a Salesforce Technical Architect to share her experiences with dealing with large data volumes. For many projects, data is often the poorer cousin to functionality, technology and solutions and Rangan shared exactly why it shouldn’t be! Data is at the heart of a system and is probably the single most important reason why we have systems in the first place. There were some great tips about maximising data accuracy and quality, achieving data consistency, managing large data volumes and importantly for many organisations, considering data governance.
Salesforce Trivia Quiz with Jessica Hargreaves
As always, the Salesforce trivia quiz was a blast and the questions keep getting more bizarre! The competition was tight and the line up was close between the participants, but there could only be one winner. Drum roll please…congratulations to Jeremy Yearon who claimed first place and to Maria Borakohava for claiming second.
See you in September 2022!
Preparations have begun for the next Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group on Thursday 22nd September 2022. We anticipate it will be another hybrid event and we’d love to see more of you join us in Cheltenham for a real good catch up. Stay up to date with all of the details on who will be speaking and more on the Trailblazer platform.
That’s all for now folks, but stay alert! We will be sharing snippets from each of our May speakers on our blog and social channels over the coming weeks.
