Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group: Tips every Salesforce Admin needs
Coacto were delighted to sponsor the Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group on Thursday 19th May 2022. The event, which took place in a hybrid capacity, provided a wealth of knowledge from Christine Marshall, Buyan Thyagarajan and Rangan Goldsmith.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing some of the top points from each speaker’s session. This week we’re starting off with Christine Marshall and her excellent tips that every Salesforce Administrator should have in their skillset.
Christine Marshall, awesome Salesforce evangelist
Christine is the Salesforce Evangelist at Salesforce Ben. With credentials spanning across 6 certifications and a Salesforce MVP badge, Christine is a regular speaker at Salesforce events, and also heads up the fantastic Bristol Salesforce Admin group.
It was awesome to have Christine join the Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group and as our first in person speaker since 2019 too!
Tips every Salesforce Admin needs
Salesforce Administrators have a big responsibility to stay up to date with key changes and should continuously aim to enhance Salesforce orgs. Especially when it comes to the new releases and fun features that can enhance productivity for users. Christine’s session provided inspiration for Salesforce Admins everywhere to upskill their users to increase adoption and overall ROI (return on investment) of Salesforce.
With many tips and tricks provided throughout the sessions, the framework remains:
- Build your automations using Flow: With Workflow Rules and Process Builder set to retire, the future of automation will be with Flow.
- Improve your performance with the Analyze Button: Improve page performance with predicted page load times for desktop and helpful suggestions for improvements.
- Learn about restriction rules: Learn the differences between traditional sharing and restriction rules. Plus you can encourage more control in a MD relationship and selectively share child records.
- Supercharge productivity with Einstein Search: Available by default from the Salesforce Winter ‘22 release, productivity can be improved with Einstein Search. This feature is only available with Lightning.
- Upskill users on new Report and Dashboard features: Be sure to understand the report types and learn how to edit inline reports.
