Cotswolds Salesforce Community: Super Salesforce Testing

Cotswolds Salesforce Community: Super Salesforce Testing

In September 2022, Coacto was delighted to sponsor the Cotswolds Salesforce Community Group in person at The Workplace in Cheltenham. The event was a great success with members joining in person and virtually to hear from fantastic speakers, Will Hughes, Amy Oplinger Singh and Penny Townsend.

Throughout the next few weeks we’ll be sharing some of the key points taken from each speaker’s session. This week we’re starting with Will Hughes and his in depth knowledge of Salesforce testing solutions.

Super Solutions Engineer, Will Hughes

Will Hughes joined the event on the screen after having had a busy couple of weeks preparing multiple sessions and delivering them at Dreamforce. Will is an experienced Solutions Engineer at Provar Testing and has over 4 years of experience supporting customers and partners in the UK. During Will’s session, he spread the word about solutions testing and how it can be pivotal to ensuring productivity for Salesforce customers.

Ensuring Salesforce quality with Provar Testing

Will’s session provided an interesting insight into the world of software and solution testing with Provar Testing, who are also leaders in Salesforce Quality.

Provar Testing offers customers the ability to work with a holistic testing solution built from the ground up for Salesforce, benefiting customers in any industry including those in finance, government, life sciences and technology.

The importance of testing

It was interesting to learn about a pivotal customer success story for key members of the Salesforce Business technology team. With challenges such as increased volume of feature releases, lean testing vs QA demands and problematic maintenance requirements there were a lot of required standards to meet. By utilising Provar Automation the technology team were able to meet their Salesforce quality  requirements.

Long term outcomes

It was clear from Will’s session that utilising a solution like Provar can help improve Salesforce adoption within teams. In particular, Provar Automation can provide long-term outcomes such as cutting overall testing effort whilst maximising coverage in regression testing. This leads to significantly higher quality releases in development and instils confidence and satisfaction within teams.

If you want to learn more about quality testing solutions and its importance for successful implementation, Will has invited members to join the University of Provar by tackling the Software Testing Fundamentals Trailhead – Give it a go yourself!
