Team Coacto takes on CCP Cheltenham Challenge May 2021

You probably already know that many of our team are up for an exercise challenge (flashback to Gary’s Autumn 100 success) and this May 2021, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be taking part in the annual CCP Cheltenham Challenge.
What is the Cheltenham Challenge?
The Cheltenham Challenge is an exciting annual event hosted by the Caring for Communities & People (CCP) charity. It’s a multi-terrain, multi-distance event that offers 5K, 10K and Half Marathon distances to runners and walkers – meaning there’s a challenge to suit all ability levels and a medal and t-shirt for everyone to win!
Although the event is usually held at the glorious Cheltenham Racecourse, this year it has adapted to the current climate and has undergone a virtual transformation. Taking place from Saturday 22nd and 23rd May, the event is enabling participants to choose their preferred route and the amount of time they’d like to take, whether it’s all at once or across the weekend tracking their progress with other runners through social media.
The Cheltenham Challenge is a great initiative that supports CCP’s frontline staff who are tackling the causes and effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion everyday in the Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Bristol, Wiltshire and Dorset areas.

Challenge Accepted!
We LOVE a challenge and are delighted that our team (even some of our younger team-mates) have agreed to tackle the Cheltenham Challenge at varying distances from the 5K to Half Marathon options. As a team of Salesforce professionals, it only seemed right to create a team name relevant to our industry and so, behold…
THE COACTO CLOUDIES!
How did we get here? Well, Salesforce is one of the largest CRM’s in the world and operates on a cloud platform but also has a lovable character named Cloudy whose purpose is to ‘keep everyone together and on track’ – sound advice for the Cheltenham Challenge don’t you think?
Watch this space!
Our team is now taking the time to prepare for their chosen distances and are aiming for a 6:30am start on Saturday 22nd May. Be sure to keep an eye out for regular updates and information across our social media channels – we’re looking forward to sharing this journey with you!
If you’re interested in taking part in the Cheltenham Challenge this May and want to support CPP to continue providing services to those in need, you can select, pay and register for your ticket directly on the CCP website here.
