Salesforce Summer ‘20 Release: Five Favourites

After a lockdown holdback, excited admins & developers finally welcomed the Salesforce Summer ‘20 release last month. With many new features and enhancements available, the innovative release has really helped to deliver across the entire Customer 360 platform more effectively.

The innovations are set to deepen customer relationships with features including sales enhancements, smarter customer service tools and much more. With so many excellent updates, it would be hard to list them all so instead, we’ve listed our top five favourite additions below:

1. Split List View: This new feature gives the standard List View a huge boost. The list now allows users to see the list view data as well as a selected record meaning you can keep track from one angle.

2. Dynamic Forms: Known to be a favourite among admins, the dynamic forms feature now gives the ability to create sub-sections of page layouts and provide more flexibility. This finally makes pages almost completely dynamic!

3. In-App Guidance Builder: This feature has seen some major changes across the last few Salesforce releases and it provides the opportunity to build prompts and onboarding sequences for users to make the process so much smoother.

4. Major Flow Updates: Flow has been receiving quite a lot of attention from Salesforce recently and the new updates allow you to trigger a Flow after a record is saved as well as making it easier to kick off a Flow.

5. Einstein Search: This tool is becoming even more important and considering the amount of data stored in Salesforce it’s a good thing! The new release means that more effective results are retrieved and better predictions are given based on the data too.

There you have it! Our top five favourite features from the Salesforce Summer ‘20 release. If you haven’t already, we definitely recommend you read through the official Release Notes where you can get the full details on each feature. If you are time challenged, this is a good summary.
