When utilising CRM software for your business, it’s essential that the relevant updates and requirements are tested and made available across your live system. Salesforce provides updates and new feature launches three times each year and the Winter ‘23 Release is now rolling out.
The Salesforce Winter ‘23 Release is officially available for preview in Sandbox environments and there’s some excellent features to take advantage of that’ll improve your existing CRM experience. Here’s our top three recommended features for Winter ‘23 to look out for:
Recommended features to utilise
This particular release has included some great innovations that will assist businesses in automating and scaling complex processes and customer experiences. With the following features, businesses will see a drive in more efficient growth:
Enhancements to Dynamic Forms
Users will have the ability to migrate fields and sections from page layouts as individual components. This means that they will also be subject to the same kind of configuration as other components on the page. This update is going to be beneficial for end users to explore with more flexibility what fields and sections should be displayed on page layouts.
Functional Communication Capabilities
Customers who utilise Salesforce as their CRM will be able to proactively update external and internal stakeholders more effectively with Broadcast Communication capabilities. Information about incidents or status updates can be seamlessly broadcasted through digital channels including self-service sites. This is going to be an excellent feature for customer engagement and satisfaction.
Managing Marketing External Actions
Specifically for marketers this new feature will allow marketing teams within your Salesforce CRM to streamline their engagements. Organisations will be able to align their marketing tech and leverage existing engagement channels using External Actions. This feature will encourage end users to build actions for third party apps including registering prospects for webinars, SMS messaging, surveys and website triggers.
How to prepare your CRM system?
There will be a number of steps and updates needed to prepare your Salesforce org ensuring it’s the most effective. Testing all of your main features in Salesforce before the suggested dates is best practice to ensure everything is still working as it should and although Salesforce rarely has any bugs, it’s essential that these checks are completed before a new release is launched.
The main release weekends for Salesforce Winter ‘23 have been announced as:
- 9th September 2022
- 7th October 2022
- 14th October 2022
