Everything you need to know about upcoming Conga features retirement
Document generation tool platform, Conga recently provided us with some important information about the Composer 7 feature and it’s impending retirement in August this year. Here’s everything you need to know about the process:
What is Conga?
Conga is a great tool that we’ve worked to integrate across many of our customers CRM systems. The platform encourages business growth by automatically creating document & e-signature workflows, negotiating contracts as well as other technology under a single data model throughout the revenue management lifecycle.
Prepare to bid farewell to certain Conga products
Conga has announced that the following products are due for retirement on 1st August 2022 and will no longer be available to use on the platform:
- Conga Composer 7
- Mail Merge
- QuickMerge
Since 2016 Conga have worked hard to maintain Composer version 7 alongside Composer version 8 and other associated solutions like Mail Merge and Quick Merge. Over the last six months Conga have been preparing customers for this transition by providing the resources and necessary steps to move from Mail Merge on Composer 7 to either Global Merge or Conga Batch on Composer 8. In late January 2022, Conga officially announced the retirement of the older Composer solutions and plans to focus solely on Composer 8 and future product lines.
How to prepare
Although Conga users still have plenty of time to prepare for these particular product retirements, we highly recommend that if your business does utilise Conga as part of your CRM system that you begin taking the necessary steps.
Not all Conga customer will need to make changes and the product retirement will not impact the following:
- Anyone using Conga Composer version 8
- Anyone NOT using Mail Merge or Quick Merge
- Current Batch users
Anyone who is still using Composer 7, Mail Merge and QuickMerge can take advantage of the various resources and documentation available on your Conga portal.
