What’s in a name?

Our founder came across Coacto when researching names for a possible company rebranding.  That idea was shelved, but the name was stored away and when the time came for something new, Coacto was born.

Coacto is Latin for compel.  The idea of making something happen, like making your own weather, resonated strongly.  This seemed entirely appropriate for a consulting services company where consultancy and client should collaborate together to achieve an agreed outcome.  Looking at this another way, it is like co-operation, co-opting or co-workers, but here co – acting, together.  Co-acto.

Values

The Salesforce eco-system is not just about technology, it is about trust, customer success, innovation and equality.  These four values represent Salesforce Ohana – a Hawaiian word for intentional family which becomes the foundation for decisions, actions and communication.

Marc Benioff, co-founder and co-CEO of Salesforce has said that the business of business is improving the state of the world.
