From Server Support and Service Management to Salesforce: Introducing Stuart Manning

At the end of last year, Coacto collaborated with LDN Apprenticeships once again to welcome another valuable individual into our team. It was great to introduce Stuart Manning into our team and so far he has had some incredible input into developing the visions, values and cultures of the business.
Let’s find out more about Stuart and his journey so far…
What’s your story?
My career started many years ago, working for a small Apple IT sales company providing pre-sales support and demonstrations on Apple Macintosh computers. Having a keen interest in computers way before the Internet and Cloud Computing was even born, I knew I’d found my vocation in life, working in IT, helping others achieve solutions to their computing problems. I was soon moving from pre-sales support to backend server support working for large multinational companies in Microsoft, Oracle and Barclays Bank. Providing support and envisioning solutions to technical problems gave me a solid technical background to how companies manage their infrastructure. Then redundancy provided me with an opportunity to take a step back and look at where I could apply my years’ of technical and business experience to a new challenge. I was approached by a friend of mine who offered me an amazing opportunity to gain a completely new skillset, in Salesforce, while doing an apprenticeship to gain a Level 4 Business Analyst and Salesforce Certified Administrator Certification. While I had heard of Salesforce due to it being the number one in its field, I had no experience. Needless to say, I’m now working for an amazing company, with talented, dynamic and inspirational people.
What apprenticeship are you completing?
Over the next 18 months, I am excited to complete the Level 4 Salesforce Consultant Apprenticeship. Throughout the experience, I will be working towards achieving a Level 4 IS Business Analyst and Salesforce Certified Administrator credential.
What are you most excited about in your role at Coacto?
Having only started my role at Coacto in November 2021, I’m still fairly new to the business, but the enthusiasm, ethos and drive of such a dynamic exciting team are like no other company I’ve worked for. Coacto epitomises the meaning of ‘Team’. I’m lucky to work with colleagues that nurture growth and great values with the drive to succeed. I have no doubt that I will thrive and accomplish my goals here at Coacto.
What do you enjoy most about the Salesforce ecosystem so far?
My journey into the realms of the Salesforce ecosystem is very new, but the diversity and technical knowledge that can be achieved in the many cloud environments provides many learning opportunities – whether as an Administrator, Consultant, Architect or even Developer. I’m a firm believer in that every day is a learning day and Salesforce offers the resources to do just that with Trailheads. Having worked in IT all my life, it’s refreshing to find a new technical avenue to explore, push boundaries and learn.
If you could be a Salesforce character, which would you be?
If I were to be a Salesforce Character, I think I’d be Cloudy the Goat. Salesforce has a whole wealth of loveable characters each with their own meanings and functions. I can relate to Cloudy as it epitomises team spirit, keeping everyone together and on track! Being a team player and the importance of Co-acting as a team, encompasses everything I think makes a company successful and stand out from the crowd.
We’re really excited to have Stuart on the team and are looking forward to continuing to support his learning as he delves deeper into his technology career. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about apprenticeship opportunities or how to upskill an already successful career path, we highly recommend speaking with the team at LDN Apprenticeships.
