Toilet Paper | Coacto Year of Change #3

We’re back with another change we’ve made in our lives… and this time, it’s toilet rolls! Forests are vital for life on earth, and they’re decreasing at an alarming rate. Which is enough of a reason for us to source out environmentally friendly toilet paper. But there’s more – roughly 40% of the world’s population doesn’t have access to a toilet, which results in illness and death caused by poor sanitation. 

In an effort to try and make a difference, we have committed to buying eco-friendly toilet paper. There are lots of companies around so you can find the one that works for you. For us, we’ve found a supplier who donate 50% of their profits to helping improve sanitation and build toilets around the world for those who have none. (you can find them here!) 

Many of the main toilet paper brands are putting in efforts to plant trees as a countermeasure for the trees which are pulled down to make their products. While this is a great start, there are other brands who use alternative materials to create a more sustainable product.

This small but significant change can do so much for the environment, but for people too. People are at the heart of what we do here at Coacto. We are passionate about supporting our local community, and building up our customers. So, to be able to support people all across the world too is a bonus to helping the environment!
