{"id":2256,"date":"2021-03-23T11:00:23","date_gmt":"2021-03-23T11:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.coacto.co.uk\/pre-prod-sandbox\/?p=2256"},"modified":"2021-03-23T11:04:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-23T11:04:03","slug":"londons-calling-2021-event-summary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coacto.co.uk\/pre-prod-sandbox\/londons-calling-2021-event-summary\/","title":{"rendered":"London&#8217;s Calling: Super Summary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last Friday (20th March 2021) our team were delighted to enjoy a day of knowledge, community and learning at the sixth annual largest community event for Salesforce professionals, London\u2019s Calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Streamlined for access<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in 2020, the London\u2019s Calling event shifted from being a physical event to a virtual experience more or less overnight as the pandemic was becoming more prevalent. We understand that this provided a particular set of challenges for the team. Fast forward twelve months and the 2021 experience was brilliantly streamlined with pre-recorded sessions and real time access to speakers and other members of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted on the virtual event platform and mobile app, <a href=\"https:\/\/attendify.com\/\">Attendify<\/a> it was easier than ever to choose, watch, learn and connect with the plethora of knowledge available.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sense of Community<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of our favourite things about the 2021 London\u2019s Calling event was the huge sense of community &#8211; even if it was a virtual event! The organisers addressed all attendees at the beginning of the day and there were plenty of opportunities to interact with fellow attendees and other organisations throughout. Being a part of the Salesforce Ohana and Trailblazer Community means a lot to us and it was excellent to see so many users in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Favourite sessions and lessons learnt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team Coacto utlised the London\u2019s Calling event as a day of learning and knowledge sharing and our team could be found on at least one of the sessions throughout each segment of the schedule. Here\u2019s a round up of our favourite sessions throughout the day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/farewell-process-builder-say-hello-to-record-triggered-flows\/\">Farewell Process Builder | Pawel Dobrzynski<\/a>: Pawel provided valuable insights into how new flows offer extended flexibility for automation processes.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/top-10-project-risks-and-how-to-mitigate-them\/\">Top 10 project risks | Amanda Beard-Neilson<\/a>: Amanda cultivated the top 10 potential risks when project planning and how they can be mitigated efficiently to achieve the end goals.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/dynamic-forms-dig-a-little-deeper\/\">Dynamic Forms: Dig a little deeper | Sean Dukes:<\/a> Sean delved deeper into how dynamic forms can be used in a simpler format to benefit your org.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/demystifying-agile-for-trailblazers\/\">Demystifying Agile for Trailblazers | Ines Garcia:<\/a> Ines shared her knowledge on how developing enhancements can be lengthy and complex and how Agile could deliver better value.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/10-ways-to-get-creative-with-lightning-components\/\">10 ways to get creative with Lightning | Eric Smith: <\/a>Eric demonstrated how 10 different Lightning components can be used to do very interesting (and effective) things within your org.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/mfa-is-going-to-be-required-are-you-ready\/\">MFA is going to be required. Are you ready? | Francis Pindar: <\/a>Francis discussed how Multi Factor Authentication will soon be required and how you can prepare ahead of time.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/tackle-your-everyday-business-problems-like-an-architect\/\">Tackle your everyday business problems like an architect | Melissa Shepard:<\/a> Melissa explained how you can apply common architect skills into solving everyday business problems.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/quick-start-apex-coding-for-admins\/\">Apex coding for Admins | Houssam Saoudy:<\/a> Houssam shared his knowledge on how you can get started on your Apex in 25 minutes and add a new skill to your toolkit.&nbsp;<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/a-discovery-of-riches-5-steps-to-starting-a-salesforce-journey\/\">A discovery of riches | Tok Ahmed: <\/a>Tok covered five steps that will help Salesforce discovery to be successful and ready for a smooth and hassle free implementation.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/formulas-and-lifehacks-for-the-everyday-admin\/\">Formulas and Life Hacks for the everyday Admin | Steve Molis: <\/a>Steve explained why formulas don\u2019t need to be intimidating and how a \u2018Plug &amp; Play\u2019 formula could be beneficial when building.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some other honourable mentions include the sessions from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/how-being-a-samaritans-volunteer-helped-me-be-a-better-project-manager\/\">Pei Mun Lim<\/a> on how her Samaritans volunteering role has helped her listen to her team more effectively as well as how Salesforce can be used to create an even happier workplace with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonscalling.net\/sessions\/using-salesforce-to-create-happier-workplaces\/\">Sarah Metcalfe<\/a> &#8211; What was your favourite session during the event?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thank you to the LDNs Call team!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our thanks go out to the London\u2019s Calling team: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/radnip\">Francis Pindar<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KerryTownsend\">Kerry Townsend<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/toddhalfpenny\">Todd Halfpenny<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LouiseLockie\">Louise Lockie<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Amandabn1\">Amanda Beard-Neilson<\/a> &#8211; without their hard work and determination the event wouldn\u2019t have been the same.
