Despite how inconsistent 2020 has been, there has been one certainty that we\u2019ve been able to rely on; and that\u2019s the regular Salesforce releases. For us, it\u2019s always an exciting time of year when new innovations are released into the Salesforce ecosystem providing the Ohana with lots of great new features and tools to play with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Winter \u201821 Release which was launched earlier this month is no different and is already offering new capabilities across the entire Customer 360 platform. There\u2019s a whole heap of new features that we couldn\u2019t possibly list them all, but here\u2019s our top three favourite innovations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Dynamic Forms & Actions<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Although they may seem small both of these functions are certainly mighty. These powerful tools provide a level of customisation that was beyond our expectations well, before the Summer \u201820 release anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Each of the functions allow mini-page layouts to be placed wherever within the Lightning App Builder and can show\/hide actions based on the user too for clear experiences. These major innovations<\/a> are now Generally Available (GA) meaning we now all have access to them – yay! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Einstein Lead & Opportunity Scoring<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The future has arrived! Previously a paid for feature these futuristic synergies have been made accessible to the whole Salesforce community. In the Winter \u201821 Release there have been some slight yet major adjustments to the feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Using the tools you can now exclude certain records from the Einstein Opportunity Scoring<\/a> model and you can even ignore fields you don\u2019t wish to see. Additionally you can now turn the feature on immediately whereas before you would have needed 1000 new leads and 120 lead conversions to begin the scoring process – What a score!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Salesforce Anywhere<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        At the annual TrailheadDX earlier this year, Salesforce announced a very timely set of features to help us continue collaborating successfully whilst adapting to the \u2018new normal\u2019. The aptly named Salesforce Anywhere enables users to collaborate on records and receive updates in real time. Although it is currently on the beta stage, you can sign up for your Org to be enabled – Check it out.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        And that\u2019s it, our three favourite features from the Salesforce Winter \u201821 release. If you haven\u2019t already, we definitely recommend you read through the official Release Notes<\/a> where you can get the full details on each new shiny innovation.
